In Palamu district, Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat took charge as District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner in April 2026. According to the information available on the district website, he is a 2019 batch IAS officer.
After assuming charge, priority was laid to deliver government schemes to the last person in the district. Monitoring of schemes in a large and geographically diverse district like Palamu is a big challenge for the administration.
People are hopeful that there will be an increase in services like resolution of public problems, pension-ration, health, education and drinking water at the block level.
