Dili (Timor-Leste): At the 79th WHO South-East Asia Regional Committee session on September 10, 2026, WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus met Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, praising India's transformative primary healthcare infrastructure.

Dr. Tedros commended the network of 160,000 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs for screening hypertension, diabetes, and early-stage cancers at the grassroots, alongside institutional deliveries climbing from 78% to 93%.
