Mumbai: In a candid town hall session with young creators, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan criticized Bollywood's tendency to mimic blockbuster formulas.
"Right now violence is trending. Because Animal worked, everyone rushes to make violent films," she remarked. "Our audiences are much smarter than filmmakers realize. They know when a story has authentic soul."
Kareena will next be seen in Meghna Gulzar's investigative drama Daayra alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran, hitting screens on September 18.
