Police Bust Inter-State Illegal Trafficking & Sex Racket Syndicate: Key Masterminds Arrested in Joint Raid

Ranchi / Palamu: In one of the most significant anti-trafficking crackdowns this year, joint enforcement teams comprising district police, anti-human trafficking units (AHTU), and intelligence wings dismantled an organized inter-state commercial sex racket operating across regional transit corridors.

Police launched simultaneous cordon-and-search operations across multiple commercial guest houses and private residences following weeks of electronic surveillance and grassroots tip-offs.

Rescue Operations and Evidence Seized:

During the operation, four trapped young women were safely rescued and transferred to government-approved rehabilitation shelters with legal and counseling support. Six individuals, including the primary kingpins managing booking logistics and venue facilitation, were taken into judicial custody.

Investigators recovered marked cash, incriminating booking registers, duplicate identification cards, and several mobile handsets containing client communications. The accused have been booked under strict provisions of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act (ITPA) alongside relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Senior police leadership reaffirmed a zero-tolerance policy against trafficking networks, announcing intensified round-the-clock surveillance at hotels, transit hubs, and commercial zones across Garhwa, Palamu, and Ranchi divisions.
