Chennai: Tamil Nadu Health Minister K.G. Arunraj announced the rollout of a dedicated state Bone Marrow Registry modeled after blood and eye donor databases to streamline stem-cell matching for leukemia and thalassemia patients.
State hospitals will also enforce an absolute ban on serving meals in plastic packaging, complemented by a public salt reduction campaign aimed at decreasing cardiovascular incidents by 15%.
