Union Cabinet Clears ₹23,731-Crore GOBARdhan Circular Bioenergy Scheme
The Union Cabinet sanctioned the GOBARdhan National Bioenergy Mission with a ₹23,731 crore allocation to establish a nationwide compressed biogas grid.
New Delhi: The Union Cabinet approved the ₹23,731-crore GOBARdhan National Circular Bioenergy Scheme running through 2035-36 to convert agricultural residue, cattle dung, and urban organic waste into compressed biogas (CBG).
The mission will unlock 150,000 green jobs while driving rural decentralized energy resilience.
